1991: In Finland, Linus Torvalds releases an operating system (Linux) for 80386-based computers, for free ftp download.

1995: Apple Computer releases the PowerBook 5300 series.

1999: At the Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo, Japan, Capcom stages a Biohazard concert with the New Japan Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

2000: Universal Pictures releases the film Bring It On to theaters in the USA. The video game Twisted Metal is played on a PlayStation.

2003: Hewlett-Packard introduces the iPaq h1935 handheld computer. It features Windows Mobile 2003 operating system, Samsung 203 MHz processor, Secure Digital slot. Price is US$249.

2003: Nintendo releases the F-Zero video game for the GameCube in the US.

2003: Nintendo releases the Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire video game for the Game Boy Advance in the US.

2006: The film Dead or Alive is released to theaters in the US, based on the video game series.

2009: Nintendo releases the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Wii in the USA. The pack includes Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption.

2009: Eidos releases the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the USA.
