1995: US District Court Judge Stanley Sporkin rejects the consent decree settlement worked out between Microsoft and the Department of Justice, regarding Microsoft's alleged unfair trade practices. He claims the proposed settlement does not go far enough in addressing Microsoft's licensing practices, and is not in the public interest.
1996: Microsoft releases the Windows 95 Service Pack 1 operating system update.
1997: Intel announces the release name of the P6 processor code-named Klamath: Pentium II.
2001: British manufacturer Pace Micro Technology releases pictures and some details of its television set-top box. The system will be able to play Sega Dreamcast video games.
2001: Nintendo announces the release dates of the Game Boy Advance: March 21 in Japan, and June 11 in the US.
2002: Capcom releases the Maximo: Ghosts to Glory video game for the PlayStation 2 in the US.
2003: Nintendo releases the Game Boy Advance SP in Japan. Internally it is the same as the Game Boy Advance. New features include rechargeable battery and flip-up 2.9-inch color LCD screen with built-in front lighting. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the system for about 10 hours with the light on, or about 18 hours without. Size is 3.33 x 3.23 x 1 inches; weight is 5 ounces.

2005: The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US. A character plays the home video game version of a TV show on a "V-CUBE" video game system, a reference to the Nintendo GameCube.
