1999: Advanced Micro Devices introduces the low-power K6-2 processors, designed for notebook use. They include 3DNow technology, and a 100 MHz processor bus. Speeds and prices are 266 MHz (US$106), 300 MHz (US$187), and 333 MHz (US$299) each in quantities of 1,000.
