1990: Universal Pictures releases the film Bird on a Wire to theaters in the USA.
1994: Sony forms the Sony Computer Entertainment of America company, to market the PlayStation CD-based video game system in the US, to be introduced in 1995.
1998: The US Department of Justice and twenty state attorneys general file a lawsuit against Microsoft, charging the company with violations of the Sherman Act: exclusive dealing and unlawful tying, monopoly maintenance in the operating system market, and attempted monopoly of the browser market. The suit seeks a preliminary injunction for Microsoft either to offer Windows 98 without Internet Explorer, or bundle Netscape Navigator as well.
2004: The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Fairly Oddparents TV show in the US. A Power Pals computer logo looks similar to the Mac OS logo.
2004: Dell releases the Dell Axim X30 handheld computer. It features Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless, stylus, SecureDigital slot, 624 MHz Intel PXA270 processor, Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC OS, 240x320 color display, 64 MB RAM, 64 MB ROM, docking cradle. Price is US$349; size is 4.6 x 3.0 x 0.6 inches; weight is 4.9 ounces. A mid-range version for US$249 comes with a 312 MHz processor and no docking cradle. A low-end version for US$199 comes with a 312 MHz processor, 32 MB RAM, 32 MB ROM, no docking cradle, and no wireless capabilities.
