1989: NEC Home Electronics introduces a coin-operated version of the TurboGrafx-16 video game system.
1991: Sony introduces the Data Discman, a handheld computer that can operate on small compact discs costing US$20-50 each. Release is set for November, with price US$550.
1992: Electronic Arts announces it will acquire Origin Systems.
2002: Cyprus issues a 30 cent postage stamp depicting a personal computer.
2003: The Disney Channel airs the Kim Possible TV show in the USA. The episode is about playing in a multiplayer online game called "Everlot", a reference to EverQuest played on personal computers.

It cost over US$17 million to produce, making it the most costly movie to date, at about US$1 million per minute. Lucasfilm provided more than 150 special effects for the 17-minute movie.
