1999: The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A man is kicked out of a movie theater for having a computer with him: desktop unit, CRT monitor, keyboard, and mouse. In a later theater showing, the man leaves the theater typing a review on a laptop computer.

2001: Sony CEA releases the Ico video game for the PlayStation 2 in the US.

2004: Yemen issues three postage stamps depicting computer chips and a computer.

2005: EA Sports releases the NBA Live 06 video game for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube in the US.

2006: Microsoft releases Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio 2005 for Windows in the USA.
